First Impressions (First Impressions, #1) - Josephine Myles This was a sweet and funny read about socks, first impressions, and taking chances :)
The Zero Knot - K.Z. Snow This was a great coming of age story, and I really enjoyed the journey of Jess and Mig. It wasn't a smooth ride for the boys, but the writing was, it just dragged me in, and didn't let me go until I'd reached the end.

Great read, great characterisation (despite the not so positive female characters) and how could anyone not love Jared and Dad?
The Mercenary - Cornelia Grey Loved the world and world building, the setting, Asher, and Gabriel. Both tech men were wonderfully geeky, and Athena, the little owl, was a lovely side-character :)

I was dragged into Asher and Gabriel's world from the beginning, and enjoyed every minute of it, despite the language seeming a bit too poetic at times, making me stand still instead of moving with it. Asher and Gabriel's meeting and subsequent evolving relationship was refreshing and interesting.

Still... Wouldn't mind another view into that world :D
Lessons in Desire - Charlie Cochrane I really liked this continuance of Lessons in Love.
The boys' growth as a couple, and separately, was lovely to read.

I loved the setting, the sense of freedom it created for the boys, the little anecdotes about Jonty's family, the bathing suits, and the mystery :) All in all, I'm really enjoying this series.
The Gravedigger's Brawl - Abigail Roux Overall: Interesting premise, if a bit spooky, lovely cast of characters (Ash was my favourite, but I loved them all), and great tongue rings :D
I loved the bar, might even be a place I'd like to go, and the fact that this book held more than one budding romance. I also loved the pieces of history woven into the story. Very nicely done :)

but... though it started strong and ended strong, I somehow lost the connection with the story for a while in the middle. Transitions between some of the scenes were choppy and uneven, making me feel something was missing, and one or two scenes seemed more like quick recaps of what happened... I was glad to get the connection back in the end, though.
Lessons in Love - Charlie Cochrane Very enjoyable read. Very atmospheric setting, and both Orlando and Jonty were adorable but complex characters.
Turkey in the Snow - Amy Lane A very sweet, slightly dramatic despite the MC HATING anything to do with drama, bit over the top and very humorous story that will have you laughing and crying at the same time :)

I loved the way Hank seemed such a straightforward no-nonsense man, but turned out to be heavily burdened by his past.

Justin was adorkable, though I wanted to hang him after his somaniest 'OhMyGah'. Don't get me wrong, it was very him, but it made me want to scratch his eyes out at times :) Luckily his redeeming qualities saved him LOL As flamboyant and hyper as he could be at times, he was rather more down to earth and sensible than expected. A very refreshing character.

LOVED the turkey analogy. It really puts everything in perspective, doesn't it? Can't do any harm to print it out and remind myself of that now and then :)

And I have to mention the sister. On first sight it seemed like an easy way to gain a kid, but the family history, and the believable, painful, and sad way Lane wrote her made up for that.
The Taverner's Inn - Rolf, Ranger A very lovely Christmas short with characters that have a special place in my heart :)

Lesser Evils - Andrea Speed LOVED IT!!
I remember picking up the first book of this series free somewhere, and the next two during a sale, but kept waiting with reading the series because it was a series, and I like reading stories in one go. I think I finished the first one in record time, because I just could NOT put it down. Started reading the second, and bought the missing volumes.

I love the premise, love the characters, and not just the main characters either. The story is bigger than life in parts, but feels real and painful and funny and even happy in a way that made me forget I was reading a paranormal series.

I'm still on the fence about reading series, but this one... Definitely worth it :D Though... it's hard waiting for the next one...

Carved In Flesh - Angelia Sparrow, Blaine D. Arden, Kaje Harper, Kristen Pavka, Logan Zachary, M.A. Church, Naomi Brooks, S.L. Armstrong, T.C. Mill I wrote a little Solstice Vignette featuring Oren and Veld from 'Oren's Right'. You can find it at Pants Off Reviews.

His Holy Bones - Ginn Hale Just a short review for now. This review is for the WHOLE series (leaving ten similar reviews seems a bit obsessive...)

BRILLIANT!!!
I'm so glad I got to read it all in one go. I don't know if I could have survived if I'd had to wait for new parts to arrive.

And it IS BRILLIANT!!
The intricate plot, the beautiful worldbuilding, the characters, the tension, the twists and logic of it all (if you took a couple of minutes to let it sink in :)- okay, some times it took mere seconds, but still )

John and Kyle... To be that intricately drawn together *sigh* so beautifully done
Many of the secondary characters were loved as well, but there were so many, that I can't name them all, but some will stay with me as much as John and Kyle do (be they dead or alive)

This is so worth the long read :D
Power Play: Resistance - Rachel Haimowitz, Cat Grant Brilliant!
I know, it's a word I seem to be fond of, but I'm not a professional reviewer and brilliant is a good word to describe great books.

I loved Jonathan and Bran, loved the slow and torturous (sometimes literally) progression. It wasn't always an easy read. Funnily enough, the part I had most trouble with was the presence of the cook & cleaner (at least I don't think there were more witnesses... at lest, not on-screen). Although, considering I don't do humiliation well... it shouldn't really be a surprise. It was worth sticking with it and seeing it through to the end. I felt defeated when Bran finally gave in (you know, right now, after having just finished the book, I just don't know whether to call him Bran or Brandon...), wished I could turn back time for him. And then he started thinking, realising. Going back to Jonathan was probably the hardest thing he ever did, and the best thing at the same time.

Brilliant writing, brilliant characters (though... there are some I could have done without --> see spoiler), an emotional rollercoaster that is honest in its portrayal of this sort of BDSM life-style
Irregulars - Astrid Amara, Nicole Kimberling, Ginn Hale, Josh Lanyon I LOVED all four stories.
the shared world really worked for me.
I loved the different takes, the similarities, the characters.
I was dragged into this world with the first sentence of the first story and didn't come out of it until the very last page.
Brilliant anthology!!!
and a definitely re-read
Harm Reduction - Heidi Belleau, Violetta Vane Loved the parallels.
Gorgeous story :)
